Unreported Crime in Calhoun County

Ok folks, here it is. The police have created an environment where there are a lot of people who do not bother calling them when things go wrong. Rather just deal with it on our own so to speak. We get the feeling they are not looking out for our best interests anyways. They get called about various crimes and whatever they DO, they DON’T let anyone know what’s up. Thank heavens there are folks out there who actually REPORT on the recent increase in thieving in the area, or we would think it was ok to go to bed with the doors unlocked…

But even THOSE crimes, under-reported as they are, are not ALL of them.

With the economy and all the way it is, we will probably see a lot more of this kind of thing. People are not trusting the cops and not feeling too comfortable putting their money in the bank for whatever reason. So they keep some cash hidden in their homes. And that is making people TARGETS.

There have been 3 thefts of money reported to the Calhoun Underground in the past month. Not sure in the first instance how much, as this was word of mouth only. But the second and third instances were communicated directly to the editors by the victims. Approximately $1200 total has come up missing in those instances.

It appears that whoever is doing the stealing is not only FAMILIAR with the victims, but has a pretty good idea of where to look for the money. Done quickly and without having to move stuff around, and done without staying around to see what else they may find of value, it seems the money is all they are really interested in. That and not getting caught. And so far, they are smarter than the people who were stolen from. Because NO ONE should be sitting on large sums of money without HIDING IT WELL. I’d go so far as to advise not hiding it in your HOUSE at all.

At any rate, obviously there has been enough “unreported” stealing going on in area that I felt it was important to let people know to be especially vigilant. Because from all indications, it could be someone you know.

If anyone else has been “hit” or knows someone who has, does not feel inclined to report to the police, but feels that others should know the extent of the situation, please feel free to leave a comment. We won’t ask questions.

And this is all “heresay” anyhow…. 😉

We have 38 official charges for the month of JULY. Each one with it’s own inevitable paperwork and many hours of desk work, as well as the time and effort involved for the police to do their part… ALL courtesy of the taxpayers of the county.

If I counted right, there were 18 dismissed all together and 1 acquittal. Well. 19 from 38 is…….. HALF the charges for the month had to be tossed.

I say no more.

Psychopaths in Power and the Neighborhood Vampires

I found THIS while surfing the political news this morning, and found it to be one of the most interesting articles I had read in a long time, and definitely worth sharing. Not only does it echo my own thoughts regarding the state of affairs in the world today, but it contains crucial information about the psychology of certain individuals who walk among us, nearly invisible, like vampires who look just like us, but they are not, and they are dangerous.

I believe that the majority of people have no real knowledge of this and that many people actually KNOW someone who fits the description. But unless you have actually had to deal with someone like this first hand, you probably cannot appreciate the full extent of the deception OR the danger involved.

I have read that something like 90% of violent offenders in the prisons today are psychopaths. The proper term for this “disability” is “Antisocial Personality Disorder.” After reading this article I linked to, Google Antisocial Personality Disorder, and you may be horrified to realize that your neighbor, your “friend”, your business associate, or your significant other, is a psychopath.

I know a lot about them. I lived with a classic psychopath for 9 years. The psychological description reads as if the person who wrote it personally KNEW this individual. And having been subjected to living with someone like this, I have become rather acute at perceiving OTHERS who have the same condition.

To be fair, this is a MENTAL ILLNESS, and as such these individuals cannot HELP being like they are, but, alas, most people bitten by vampires did not wish for their fate…

In being able to recognize the “symptoms”, I have found that there is a particular individual that many of us know, who I will leave unnamed, (those in the know will know), who is very skilled at inserting himself into certain people’s lives, and has single handedly created some very bad situations for several people in this area and several other places in the state. This is a person who will “brother” and “sister” you with his false “kind hippie” act right from the start. The sort of guy who seems “too nice”… The kind who wears a costume of  tie-dyes and dreads, and plays the guitar and knows all the Grateful Dead songs by heart… The PERFECT recipe for inserting himself into places where he can obtain any illicit substance he so desires in order for his own financial and EGOCENTRIC gain. Which is the ultimate goal. He will make you like him, so that you will do things for him. Give him a place to stay, lend him money, feed him if he’s hungry. He constantly tries to “run” things, making a million suggestions designed to ultimately make you BEHOLDEN to him in some way. He takes delight in doing that which he knows is not acceptable and is skilled at having two faces. He lies and hides things behind people’s backs, he takes things that are not his, he seems not to grasp REALITY of any kind but his own. He plays with words all the time and is a professional “tell-em-what-they-wanna-hear” kind of guy, so he is always trying to confuse folks into thinking that the bad stuff he does is really OK. I call it “pretzel logic”… The CLASSIC  example of the pushy and fast talking used car salesman who could sell a drowning man an anchor, while leaving you standing there wondering what he just said…

And unfortunately, it seems like most folks are not educated in psychology enough to realize they are being worked like so many puppets in a toy store.

Those of us who are already aware that we need to be vigilant about this type of individual, once DISCOVERING one and TAKING THEIR POWER from them, they begin to become insane acting and dangerous and have a tendency to do things like cause big scenes, play with guns, make huge threats like “I’ll burn your house down” (or “I’ll bomb your village…”), inflict bodily harm to THEMSELVES or OTHERS…

I’m sure after reading and researching this many of you will discover the information to be invaluable on a personal level. These are the true VAMPIRES. And they walk among us.

Anonymous Tips, Taxes, and the Police State

Well, I’ve heard just about enough of this that it’s making my blood boil.

I already know first hand what horrors await the poor soul who perhaps has pissed off some lowlife enough for them to make an anonymous accusation about them to the police. In our little corner of the universe, we have had this happen more than once. SOMEONE, and you probably will never find out who for sure, decides it furthers their agenda to tell the police you are doing something illegal, whether you are or not is beside the point. So the police show up at your door, perhaps with a CPS worker or something similar, sometimes with a warrant and sometimes without one. It matters not, because they can bend the rules to suit their plan.

Now, one could think this is just a random occurance. BUT lately, I have been running into a LOT of people who have had this happen to them just in the last couple months. To the point where I think it’s pretty obvious that there is something greater at work here than just “anonymous tips”.

I went to a wedding in NY recently where I met a friend of the family who had a horror story to tell about an anonymous tip which led to her home being ransacked, her mother handcuffed, and of course a few minimal eventual charges, even tho the actual accusations on the search warrant were fabricated. I wonder how many of you might have SOMETHING in your homes that the police could consider illegal if they so choose? I bet the wrath of the state police will find SOMETHING to charge you for, even if ultimately the charges must be tossed out.

Well, I thought, they actually ARE targeting certain types of individuals.  But that did not prepare me for the next horror story. I returned to home in the holler, and went online to read some current posts by one of my favorite bloggers, and low and behold, HE too had someone make an anonymous tip in the past week or so which led to his having to hurriedly spirit his family off to a safe place before the CPS could obtain a search warrant.

Now, this is really starting to piss me off and add credence to the fact that NONE of us are safe in our homes.

So, I’m sitting here and the phone rings, and it’s a good friend of ours who lives near Huntington. And guess what? The cops showed up at HIS place, NO SEARCH WARRANT, on, guess what? An ANONYMOUS TIP.  He was not home but his son was. They  intimidated the son into signing a waiver so that they could search the house, and in doing so, found not one single thing wrong. But meantime they had the son handcuffed for 3 hours, and even tho he was not arrested for anything the police told him he could not stay there. Even tho that is where he lives and they found nothing wrong…

The outcome of the whole thing was that someone made up a story about having been attacked by my friend (the real story was the guy was sitting in his truck and this idiot punches him in the face, twice, and broke his glasses before he lifted a finger to defend himself)  But now the owner of the land is charged with “wanton endangerment”, the “victim” claiming that he pulled a gun on him. For a fact, the guy in question does not even OWN a gun. And I can verify without question that this man is NOT a liar. Ever. But he IS a Viet Nam vet who gets a disability check for mental illness. I’m seeing a pattern of the police using extreme force in dealing with these anonymous “investigations” towards people they think could be “dangerous”. In other words people they are afraid of. In this case, the owner of the property, upon returning home and seeing all the police cars in his driveway, got the heck out of there as fast as he could, ON FOOT and thru the woods. The SWAT team was called out, the dogs were brought in, and the helicopters flew over his farm for 2 days. All over an anonymous complaint that was made up.

Now, how much do you taxpayers think THIS cost?

No, not one of us is safe. If you have any kind of “reputation”, including the reputation of telling it like it is, or living “outside the box”, you too can be a victim of the State Police, a victim of any Joe-down-the-street with a telephone or a computer, and there is not one thing you can do to stop it. And all these so-called “public servants” are SWORN TO UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION!

This is really some bullshit.
